To play RuneScape's new detail level you will need:

* 1.5 GHz processor or higher
* 256MB of RAM or more
* 64MB 3D Graphics card, such as Nvidia(R) GeForce(TM) 3 or above

Ok. SOME of the new shit is out, check it, it's a shame that the high detail is a members beta, but it will be relased to the free members when the beta is over. You can still go to the high detail and view the new graphics at the login screen though.

It's a shame you can't get any screens of it in HD, i can't find any at least, would be nice to see

In-Game Improvements:

Aside from RuneScape HD, we have made several graphical updates that also affect the old detail modes. A deep breath is needed here: three of the largest cities in RuneScape - Al Kharid, Lumbridge and Ardougne - have been reworked to give them a new, improved look; Castle Wars has been given a fresh lick of paint; your teleport animations and your emotes should now be more impressive; and the fires of RuneScape have an improved, crackling flame.

lmao, what you smoking man, my monitors max resolution was that when i had the best desktop EVER and it wasn't Time , but it had Windows 95 (best O/S on earth) and i learned to program my first few apps on it, and, i learned how to make a virus on it too, which was the end of that computer that was a sad day, as i progressively watched it decline it still saddens me now, my failed attempts at reviving it from the clutches of its death ahhhhhhh brings a tear to my eye.

Anyway, what am i kidding it was SHIT good at the time, but it meant getting a new and better one so im kinda glad i broke it

why is ther a dragon? i dont recall dragons that fly and set fire to Lumbridge in game?? Although that would make the game so much better

at the end of the day, it just looks like a few higher detailed textures,
I think they are trying to use your hardware to render rather than just the Java software, it's going to be full screen,
and they've put nice new water effects in

Last time i played that i went into a little tournament thing and two level 70 destroyed me. I lost everything. Took me ages to save up for the rune longsword.

Absolutely FUCKING classic. Love it. I laughed a fair bit when i read that. Its just, well, They arent that expensive, especially now, they are even cheaper, everything is cheaper. You could get a rune long for 19K FFS JESUS (sorry i checked out the price on the marketplace JUST THEN and it even shocked ME).

What, i bought mine for about 40-50k back in the day. It was very rare to have them. I also found out i lost all my addy armour, i know its not very expensive but it took me ages to get those legs. I'm sure you were supposed to get them back somehow, it was very confusing. I have got a rune pick ake though, and my guys good at that i think.

I remember i got some sort of sword, i think it was bronze, THAT took me ages to get, i went to some random place and asked for some money and he gave me 50k, walked straight into the wilderness and lost it all, so i didnt play ever again, that just fucked me

but dont you think the Jagex engine owns?

Its a goblin . I THINK its from the old runescape too, not sure.
